About Mac

MAC (Movimento de Adolescentes e Crianças) - Crianças Unidas” is a non governmental, not-for-profit organization founded in 2001 in Timor-Leste and composed of children and young people.

Mission

The MAC-CU leaders principal objective is to develop the young citizens of Timor-Leste's rights through activities which help them to reduce violence in their communities and promote as well as defend children's rights.

 

General information

The MAC drop-in center in the Taibessi neighborhood of Dili is opened everyday in the afterschool hours of 4-8pm.

The MAC drop-in center offers a vareity of classes to the community including children's rights education, youth development, youth leadership, health and hygiene education, peace-building and promotion, cultural education and sports (this at times includes regional and international cultural and sport interchanges in Indonesia, Brasil, and other countries), enviornmental education, visual arts, radio and communication.
